Nueces County reported seven new COVID-19 cases and six related deaths on Sunday.
One was confirmed positive and six were probable positives. There have been 16,714 confirmed positives and 5,478 probable positives, according to health district data. The state has reported 4,254 of Nueces County’s cases. There have been 22,192 cases total. There are 850 active cases.
Six new COVID-19-related deaths were reported Sunday. One of the people died out of town in July and was reported by the state to the county on Sunday. Those who died included five men and one woman who were in their 60s, 70s, and 90s. They had underlying health issues including coronary artery disease, diabetes, and hypertension, according to a news release.
