A cold front pushing through South Texas on Tuesday could bring cooler temperatures with scattered showers and thunderstorms to the Coastal Bend.
The front will bring temperatures as low as 56 degrees Tuesday evening, according to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi. It’ll then retreat northward as a warm front and bring isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms Thursday through Friday.
Tuesday will be sunny with a high of 82. Tuesday night will be mostly clear with a low of 56 and wind gusts as high as 20 miles an hour.
Wednesday will be sunny with a high near 74 and a low near 62.
A 20% chance of rain begins on Thursday with a high near 76. The chance for rain continues Thursday night with a low near 70.
There will be a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms on Friday with high of 83 and a low around 71.
The Corpus Christi area could receive about a quarter of an inch of rain between Thursday and Friday, a spokesperson for the National Weather Service said.
The weekend will be sunny and warm, with a high of 91 on Saturday and 84 on Sunday.
